- Course for Obtaining the VDS Certificate (Sport and Recreational Flight) - Paragliding
The course trains the student pilot and prepares them to take the exam to obtain the V.D.S. certificate.
The paragliding pilot must be able to perform safely and independently the basic level activities required for the VDS|VL certificate under the following environmental conditions:
- in the absence of turbulence and thermals
- with basic certified equipment in the Standard CEN class or equivalent deemed suitable for teaching by the instructor.
- also in sites different from the usual school locations
23 hours (divided into about 10 lessons) of theoretical teaching of the following subjects:
- introduction to flying with a hang glider and/or paraglider
- regulations and legislation
- aerodynamics
- meteorology and aerology
- instruments
- piloting technique
- materials
- safety
- examination of flying areas (terrain, etc.)
- basic first aid
The course cost includes:
- the use of flight equipment for the duration of the course;
- the free flight manual;
- insurance coverage;
