Fly safe with an Etna Fly team pilot qualified for passenger transport!

With a light run down a mountain slope, it is possible to start gliding, using the updrafts (thermals and dynamics) if possible to extend the flight to suit the passenger.
No leap into the void. Just an unimaginable sensation of lightness and support in the air. Thanks to the paraglider wing, the air becomes buoyant.
The pilot will guide you and explain everything you need to know, introducing you to the magical world of free flight (i.e., without the aid of an engine). 

It will also be possible to perform some thrilling acrobatic maneuvers before landing gently.



 

INFORMATION

FLIGHT INFO AND PLANNING

  1. Book at least one day in advance or check for last-minute availability. We will confirm the weather and appointment details by the previous evening.
  2. Get to the meeting place (usually the landing site of the chosen flight site) with sports shoes and clothing suitable for the cooler air at altitude.
  3. We will provide transport to takeoff and supply the necessary equipment. After a brief briefing, you'll be ready to take off!
  4. Video and photos of the experience will be provided on an SD card, included in the service price.

Q. How do you fly?

A. With a simple run along the takeoff slope. No jump into the void.

Q. How do you land?

A. Just a few steps are needed. You land gently.

A. As long as possible. It depends on the height difference and the updrafts.

A. Absolutely! The takeoff is very exciting, and if you request it, you can try piloting or perform spectacular acrobatic maneuvers!

Q. When is the best time to fly?

A. In Sicily.. all year round! We avoid rain or strong winds. Our pilots are also weather experts. Trust us if we confirm the flight, even if it's raining at your place!

Q. Can I get a video of the flight?

A. Yes. We shoot a wide-angle HD video of the entire flight, delivered immediately after landing on a memory (SD), included in the rate!

We fly every day by reservation, with weather conditions deemed suitable by the pilot.
You can book any date with the notice you prefer or ask for our advice.
Confirmation of feasibility (weather) and appointment details will be provided one or two days before the flight. In Sicily, you can fly very well all year round!

You can fly with your friends, simultaneously or in different shifts, with a variable number of pilots available.

The takeoffs of Gallodoro and Castelmola (Monte Veneretta), landing at Letojanni near Taormina, are the most frequently visited panoramic spots.

> MEETING PLACE <

For Gallodoro and Castelmola, the meeting point is near the landing site (Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/BU82iVkUfCK2), on the Letojanni seafront, in the beach parking lot between Piazza Cagli and Piazza Durante.
From there, you will go up to takeoff with one of our team vehicles.

For other sites, the meeting point will be arranged as needed.

> EQUIPMENT <

It is provided by the pilot, and with a very short briefing, you will be ready to take off.

> FLIGHT DURATION <

Depends on the height difference and weather conditions (with updrafts, ideal average 15-20+ min up to 30 min for high takeoffs). The high-performance wing used ensures significantly longer flight duration than tandem parachute jumps.
The pilot will do his best to satisfy your desire to fly. The total duration (transport to takeoff, preparation, flight) ranges from 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the height of the chosen takeoff.

> CLOTHING <

Comfortable shoes that allow a light run at takeoff. Lightweight windbreaker or jacket suitable for the season.
